I have strong ties and roots with the Basel region. I was born here, completed my training in Basel and my sporting successes originated here (swimming and water polo). After completing my studies, I had a clear vocation to become an Orthopaedic surgeon, because on the one hand it is a craft and on the other it has to do with the musculoskeletal system. I also find it enriching to be able to look after and treat patients from birth to old age.

On December 1/12/2020, Orthopädie am Rhy was expanded to include a new third location in Liestal. Modern premises were inaugurated at a very central location, directly by the railway station in Liestal. Dr Urs Kohlhaas-Styk heads Orthopädie am Rhy in Liestal. There is close cooperation with the existing locations in Basel and Rheinfelden. In addition to the orthopaedic treatments, Orthopädie am Rhy Liestal offers treatment using focused shock wave therapy as well as sports medicine and medical examinations.
